On October 6th, 2019, the Asian Pacific Health Foundation was granted another opportunity to provide health screenings to visitors of the Community Market in Linda Vista from 9:00AM-2:00PM. This is the first outreach to provide a vision station for screening tests through Macular Degeneration and Glaucoma. Demonstrating APHF's growth and ability to achieve advancing health through prevention of diseases.
There were many enthusiastic patients coming through the doors as early as the start of the outreach. One particular patient made a conscious effort to bring a friend to get screened for different silent diseases, showcasing the valuable effect APHF can offer to patients.
As children of patients enjoyed the company of our volunteers and enjoyable music blasted from the market, the atmosphere of the outreach could not have been more pleasant and satisfying for both patients, providers, and volunteers.
We would like to express our appreciation to all the staff and volunteers at the health outreach:
Dr. Robert Gish, MD, Medical Director
